Moldovan legislative body, European Parliament sign memorandum of understanding

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - A memorandum of understanding between the parliament of Moldova and the European Parliament for the first time ever was signed by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and European Parliament President David Sassoli today, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The document will serve as basis for a qualitatively new cooperation and is meant to support the agenda set in Chisinau – of strengthening the course of European integration and rapprochement with the European Union.
”The European Parliament has always been by our side and the most important thing, by the side of our citizens, for which I am quite grateful to you. On my own behalf and on behalf of Moldova’s people, I thank you for this proof of friendship and we hope to enjoy it in continuation as well!’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the parliament of Moldova and the European Parliament.
According to the speaker, the new framework of cooperation will help the MPs of Moldova and the European Parliament to create new important opportunities for the citizens.
