Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu on 29 November evening had a meeting with a group of Moldovan citizens living in the Belgian capital, at the end of his working visit to Brussels, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The sides discussed the domestic situation in Moldova. Igor Grosu highlighted that the Moldovan citizens, no matter where they are, were well-informed about the situation in Moldova and, the most important thing, they are involved and care about the country’s problems.
The parliament speaker assured the interlocutors that the justice reform was one of the basic concerns of the new governance.
”We have already started making proper order in the state’s institutions, for them to work for the citizens, not for interest groups. We will work to create a friendly business environment for everybody, as only in this way, we will increase the economy and will create well-paid jobs,’’ Igor Grosu stressed.
On 28-29 November, the parliament speaker paid a working visit to Brussels, during which he had more meetings with high-rankling officials of the European Parliament.
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and European Parliament President David Sassoli signed, for the first time ever, a memorandum of understanding between the parliament of Moldova and the European Parliament. The document will serve as basis for a qualitatively new cooperation and is meant to support the agenda set by Moldova – of strengthening the course of European integration and rapprochement with the European Union.
