Romanian Information Center to be set up at USM

Chisinau, 1 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Gheorghe Brătianu Romanian Information Center was inaugurated on National Day of Romania at the State University of Moldova (USM) with the financial support of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania. The center will operate within the Faculty of History and Philosophy.
The center aims to promote in the university student environment in our country the Romanian values recognized at European level and to consolidate the cultural and linguistic identity of the Romanians from the Republic of Moldova.
USM rector Igor Sarov sent a message of gratitude to the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova for the support provided to the successful implementation of several joint projects within the State University. „The center is part of the educational support strategy of the Faculty of History and Philosophy regarding the knowledge and promotion of Romanian culture and civilization among students of History, Letters, Journalism, International Relations, Philosophy and other related fields, in particular, as well as of the entire student and teaching staff from USM ”, he said.
Adrian Dupu, State Secretary of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM) said that the collaboration between USM and DRRM is productive, and the results are not long in coming, the inauguration of the Romanian Information Center being a conclusive example. this sense. „USM has an important role in promoting the Romanian culture, traditions and identity in the Republic of Moldova. As a result, we considered it opportune to inaugurate the center within the most important higher education institution on the left bank of the Prut. I want this institutional collaboration between DRRM and USM to bring the two countries closer together, so that the Romanian culture is consolidated in the Republic of Moldova ", he said.
In this context, the dean of the Faculty of History, Sergiu Matveev, said that in the conditions of the pandemic situation, the establishment of a Romanian Information Center, equipped with equipment to ensure the activity of remote members, as well as all those who want to consult the Center's materials. , is of urgent necessity. "We want to expand the activity of the Romanian Information Center by transforming it into an interuniversity center of Romanian history, culture and civilization, by affiliating several specialized institutions from the Republic of Moldova and Romania", he said.
Romania Information Center is equipped with furniture and multimedia equipment such as: interactive monitor board, video capture system, scanner, audio-video automation system, etc. The activity of the Center will be coordinated by an interdisciplinary team, which will also establish its activity plan.
