Chisinau, 1 Dec. / MOLDPRES /-Experts in digitalization of public services convened in a meeting yesterday in Cahul, at the invitation of local authorities to discuss priorities of digital transformation of the municipality.
Electronic Government Agency (AGE) director Olga Tumuruc thanked the local authorities for the initiative and for the invitation to collaborate, saying "this synergy will bring many benefits in the future". "In this endeavor, AGE has a complex mission and will support the modernization of services. This involves not only digitization, but also a fundamental rethinking of services, through simplification and optimization in the first place. The good practices of other states show that it is efficient to rethink the services from the citizen's perspective, because digitalization is for people ", she said.
The delegation composed of several representatives of the national institutions, led by Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization Iurie Țurcanu, as well as exponents of development partners, visited several public institutions in the locality, to discuss potential digital solutions. "I am sure that this event will give an even greater impetus to the digitization process, not only for Cahul, but also other regions and localities in the country that will take this example. We all want to feel the benefits of digitization in our homes. It is important that the initiative came from here, from the local people, it was not imposed elsewhere. We will create a healthy and constructive synergy between local, central authorities and potential partners for the benefit of the people ", said Iurie Țurcanu.
