Buzau County provided Chisinau with 50 thousand euros for arrangement of Titulescu Square

Chisinau, 1 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- The square on Nicolae Titulescu Street in Chisinau will be arranged and restored by late 2021and next spring a monument in memory of Romanian politician Nicolae Titulescu will be set up there.

Buzău County Council offered to the Chisinau municipality a sponsorship worth 50 thousand euros for the arrangement and modernization of the square on Nicolae Titulescu Street in Chisinau, where the Nicolae Titulescu monument will be installed.

Municipal councilor Corneliu Pântea said that the reconstruction works of the square have already started, and the cost of the entire project amounts to 2.5 million lei. The financing of this project is made by the Buzău County Council, which offered a financing of 50 thousand euros, the design and construction of the monument is done at the initiative of the European Titulescu Foundation in Romania and the Romanian Cultural Institute Mihai Eminescu with the financial support of Prahova County Council ", said Pântea.

Nicolae Titulescu was a Romanian diplomat, lawyer, university professor and politician, repeatedly Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister Plenipotentiary, former President of the League of Nations and full member of the Romanian Academy.
