Moldovan deputy premier received European parliament delegation

Chisinau, 1 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration received today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs MEPs and members of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee Siegfried Mureșan, Ramona Strugariu, Gheorghe-Vlad Nistor and Maria Grapini, who are in Moldova on the occasion of the tenth meeting of the Parliamentary Association Committee of the Republic of Moldova - European Union, the MAEIE press service has reported.
Popescu pointed out several important aspects related to the intensification of the dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, including on the parliamentary line, the current state of implementation of the Association Agreement and the progress and challenges of our reform agenda.
"Cooperation with the European Parliament is very important for our country, the dialogue with MEPs targeting the full spectrum of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the EU. We thanked the members of the delegation for the constant support given to our country by the EU legislative forum during the European course of the Republic of Moldova ", he said.
The official reiterated Moldova's interest to have a more ambitious agenda of cooperation with the European Union, which would reflect the strategic priorities of the associated countries, including expanding roaming facilities and third countries, capitalizing on infrastructure development and other sectoral areas of major importance for the national economy.
Siegfried Mureșan, as President of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee reconfirmed the European Parliament's support in achieving the European integration and modernization agenda of our country.
