Winter Holidays launched in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall today launched the winter holidays, after the lights had been turned on the Christmas Tree, placed on the square of the Birth of God Metropolitan Cathedral.

The holiday lights were turned on also in another 36 locations in Moldova’s capital, along with the lights on the square of the Birth of God Metropolitan Cathedral.

“Another several locations from Chisinau will be arranged in holiday look and the lights there will be switched on gradually,’’ the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said.

This is the second year in a row when the Christmas Tree of Chisinau is placed on the square of the Birth of God Metropolitan Cathedral, nearby the Holy Gates.
