Tenth meeting of Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee held in Chisinau

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s parliament today hosted the tenth Meeting of the Moldova-European Union Parliamentary Association Committee.
The event was co-chaired by the head of the European Parliament’s delegation, MEP Siegfried Muresan and Deputy Parliament Speaker Mihail Popsoi. The subjects tackled in Chisinau regarded the evolution as to the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, justice reform, energy security, economic development, epidemiological situation, as well as the situation in the districts from the left bank of Dniester.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Mihail Popsoi thanked the European Union for the assistance provided to Moldova on more dimensions, especially the fight with the COVID-19 pandemic, overcoming the energy crisis, as well as the carrying out of the reforms.
”Moldova’s integration into the European Union is a priority. It is extremely important for us to turn to good account the cooperation with EU, so that the Moldovan citizens have access to high living standards, live in safety and stability,’’ Popsoi noted.
Siegfried Muresan informed that the 11th meeting of the Moldova-European Union Parliamentary Association Committee would take place in Brussels in early 2022. He reiterated the EU’s openness in the process of Moldova’s reformation and modernization.
Attending the discussions were representatives of the parliamentary factions, heads of standing commissions, as well as representatives of ministries.
