Moldova, Norway to cooperate to enhance country's energy resilience

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has discussed with Foreign Affairs Minister of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt the Moldovan-Norwegian relations and the assistance for development provided to Moldova, on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

The officials reviewed the principal goals of the Moldovan-Norwegian bilateral relations and highlighted the importance of strengthening the political, commercial and economic dialogue.

„In particular, we referred to ways of cooperation, in order to enhance Moldova’s energy resilience,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.

At the same time, Foreign Affairs Minister of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt expressed openness for continuing the bilateral political dialogue and confirmed willingness to back the agenda of reforms assumed by the Moldovan government.
