25 families of doctors killed by COVID-19 to get state support

Chisinau, 3 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Relatives of medical staff deceased in the fight against COVID-19 will get one-off state benefits. The cabinet today approved allocation of 2.5 million lei from the government's intervention fund for 25 families.

According to the government's communication and protocol department, the draft aims at supporting relatives of employees of public health institutions, who worked in Chisinau, as well as in the districts of the country, as doctors, nurses, midwives. Each family will receive 100 thousand lei.

So far, 45 families of medical workers who died of COVID-19 have received one-off benefits.
