Chisinau city hall to provide disabled people with one-off assistance

Chisinau, 3 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau city hall provides one-off aid to 2,900 citizens with special needs. It is offered on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is marked annually on 3 December.
Thus, 845 people with hearing impairments, members of the Association of the Deaf in the Republic of Moldova, Chisinau territorial office, will receive material assistance worth 500 lei, and 10 active members of this organization will get 2,000 lei each.
Also, 820 visually impaired people, members of the Association of the Blind in Moldova, Chisinau territorial organization, will benefit from material aid worth 500 lei, and 10 active members of this organization will get 2,000 lei.
At the same time, 500 people with disabilities, according to the lists presented by the Territorial Directorates of Social Assistance in Chisinau, will get material aid of 500 lei.
Among the beneficiaries are also 50 people, active members of the Public Association of the Disabled Society from Chisinau, who will benefit from 2000 lei; 50 people with disabilities, active members of the Disabled Association from Chisinau will benefit from 2000 lei; 30 people with disabilities, members of the Association of People with Disabilities Invasport will get 500 lei, and two of its active members will receive 2,000 lei each.
Also, 642 families, who raise and educate children with special needs, will be supported by providing material aid worth 500 lei / each child, according to the lists presented by educational institutions.
Also in December, the General Directorate and the territorial directorates of social assistance, with the support of the Regina Pacis Foundation and several religious missions, will distribute about 300 packages of food and 25 packages of diapers. At the same time, a volunteer will provide hairdressing services at home.
The total value of the aid granted is about 1.6 million lei.
