Parliament appointed two deputy governors to National Bank of Moldova

Chisinau, 3 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Tatiana Ivanicichina and Arcadie Albul have been appointed deputy governors of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) for a term of seven years. At today's meeting, MPs approved two draft decisions in this regard.
Tatiana Ivanicichina's candidacy was supported by the vote of 58 MPs. She has over ten years of financial experience. Tatiana Ivanicichina worked at the Ministry of Finance as a consultant, department head and state secretary.
Arcadie Albul's candidacy was supported by the vote of 57 MPs. He has experience in an international financial institution, as well as in the European Central Bank. According to the draft decision, Arcadie Albul will begin his term as Deputy Governor on 1 March 2022.
Under the legislation, the BNM deputy governors are appointed by Parliament, at the proposal of the BNM governor.
