Public services to be modernized in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament has voted a draft law on the modernization of the public services in the first reading.
Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization Iurie Turcanu unveiled the document. Turcanu noted that the document’s goal was to create the legal framework for the system of providing public services, which is to ensure the accessibility, quality, as well as the balance between the beneficiaries’ expectations and the public interest.
Among the initiative’s objectives, there is also the organization and efficient providing of public services to citizens and the business environment, as well as reducing the useless administrative burdens and economical use of the budgetary means.
A new element is the diversification through which a public service can be got. Thus, the public services will be provided, as priority, online, which is important especially for the citizens from abroad, as well as in the pandemic context. At the same time, the people who have no possibility to access services in electronic format will be able to resort to multifunctional centres from the municipalities and district centres of Moldova.
To become law, the draft is to be approved in the second, final reading.
