Moldovan energy regulator intervenes to provide with electric energy consumers of Energy Supply Ltd company

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/ - The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), at a today’s meeting of its Administrative Board, adopted a decision on ensuring the last option provision of electric energy to the consumers served by the provider Furnizare Energie (Energy Supply) Ltd company.      

„Taking into account the notification submitted by the Energy Supply Ltd company, according to which the company is in impossibility to provide electric energy to end considers starting from 4 December this year, for reasons that the producer, Moldovan Regional Power Station closed joint stock company cannot confirm the supply of electric energy for an indefinite period, the ANRE Administrative Board obliged the providers state capital enterprise Premier Energy Ltd and the stock company Furnizare Energie Electrică Nord (Electric Energy Supply North) to ensure the last option provision of electric energy to the end consumers served by the Energy Supply Ltd company, starting from 4 December 2021 and to put at their disposal the contracts on the electric energy supply, in written form, in a term of 8 calendar days at the most upon the date of starting the physical provision of the electric energy,’’ ANRE said.          

At the same time, the system operators, state enterprise Moldelectrica and the state capital enterprise Premier Energy Distribution stock company and RED Nord stock company will present, immediately after receiving the concerned decision, to the last option providers information about the end consumers, which are to be taken over by them.     

According to the website of the company, Energy Supply Ltd company, it serves 1,067 consumption places and has 130 clients. ANRE issued it the licence for the supply of electric energy on 26 July 2018, which is valid till 26 July 2028.
