Moldovan lawmakers adopt law on mandatory health insurances accounts for 2022 in second reading

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today adopted the draft law on the mandatory health insurances accounts (FAOAM) for 2022 in the second reading.
Thus, in 2022, the health insurances accounts will have revenues and expenses of about 12.3 billion lei. The revenues will increase by 10.3 per cent and the expenses – by 8.3 per cent against this year.
The mandatory health insurance premium will not be more expensive; its value, both in form of percentage contribution of 9 per cent and in form of fixed sum of 4,056 lei, will be maintained in 2022 as well. The mandatory health insurances premiums, in form of percentage contribution to salary and other rewards, will be of 5.9 billion lei, up by 919.4 million lei.
At the same time, 5.9 billion lei is envisaged for the transfers from state budget to FAOAM, in order to insure the categories of unemployed people.
