As many as 495 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,835 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 495 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Two out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 366,751 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 12 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 5 medical assistants, and 2 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,396 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 193 are in extremely serious condition and 41 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 3,668 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 9,038 are under supervision at home.

Another 506 people have been treated. As many as 351,003 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 27 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,244 people have died of coronavirus in all.
