Over 7,300 homes purchased through First Home Program

Chisinau, Dec. 7 / MOLDPRES /- So far, 7,352 homes have been purchased through the First Home program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 3.98 billion lei, and the total amount of guarantees is 1.94 billion lei.
According to the Ministry of Finance, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 5 532 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget for the partial coverage of the expenses for the payment of the mortgage loan within the First Home Program 1, of which 1294 persons within the First Home Program 2, 3098 - First Home 3, 1128 - First Home 4 and 12 - under the program First Home 5.
Out of the 7,352 beneficiaries, 5037 are families and 2315 are young. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. The average area of housing purchased through the Program is 60 m.p. The average value of purchased homes is 632.29 thousand lei. Out of the total number of dwellings purchased, 6,666 are apartments and 686 are individual dwellings.
The beneficiary of the Government Program First Home may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed by a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation is 5% of the purchase price of the house.
