Over 11,000 drivers sanctioned for not giving priority to pedestrians in Moldova in 2021

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - Over 11,000 drivers have been sanctioned by patrol inspectors for not giving priority to pedestrians since early 2021.
In the context, the National Public Security Inspectorate comes up with more recommendations for drivers, as well as for pedestrians. Thus, law-enforcers urge drivers to decrease the speed before pedestrian zones; not speak by phone in traffic; move slowly, if the visibility is low.
Also, pedestrians are urged not to cross the street running; to bear objects with reflective elements and at night, to use the phone as lantern, in order to be more visible.
