Consignment of humanitarian assistance made up of medical use articles delivered to Transnistrian region

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan competent authorities, jointly with the Moldova Office of the World Health Organization (WHO), according to current practices, have instructed the distribution of a consignment of humanitarian assistance, received nationally, for use in settlements from the left bank of Dniester. The assistance is meant to protect the medical employees and facilitate their activity in combating the infection and treating the patients infected with COVID-19, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Thus, in accordance with an instruction issued by the Health Ministry, the following articles were distributed for medical sector specialists from the Transnistrian region: 130,000 protection masks (of which 30,000 are FFP2 protection masks) 10,000 pairs of protection spectacles, 5,000 protection overalls, 5,000 protection costumes, 6,900 pairs of examination gloves and 30 pulse oximeters with consumables.
On the entire period of epidemiological crisis, the Moldovan authorities have permanently provided assistance in various forms to beneficiaries from the left bank of Dniester, including through donations containing advanced medical apparatus, medical and protection equipment, redirectings of hundreds of thousands of doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine, provided for free to Moldova by external donors or purchased from state budget means.
The Reintegration Policies Bureau expresses high appreciation and gratitude to the foreign partners for the solidarity and support proved for Moldova’s citizens.
