As many as 588 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,998 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 588 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eight out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 367,339 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 12 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (9 physicians, 2 medical assistants, and 2 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,399 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 182 are in extremely serious condition and 42 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 3,498 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,999 are under supervision at home.

Another 578 people have been treated. As many as 351,581 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 26 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,270 people have died of coronavirus in all.
