European Commission official awarded Order of Honour in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today awarded the Order of Honour to Deputy Director-General at the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement negotiations of the European Commission Katarína Mathernová.

According to the presidential press service, the distinction was offered as a token of high appreciation for the contribution brought to the carrying out of the agenda of reforms assumed by Moldova’s authorities, in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union, as well as for the constant backing of Moldova in the process of modernization and European integration.

President Maia Sandu said that Katarina Mathernová was a true friend of Moldova and her efforts contributed and contribute in continuation to the country’s transformation, for the benefit of the Moldovan citizens.
