Ex-policeman detained on Trușeni city hall case

Chisinau, Dec. 8 / MOLDPRES /- Several searches took place this morning in the case of Truseni City Hall in Chisinau. CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors detained a former police officer and carried out criminal proceedings against a person suspected of complicity in the attempted dispossession of property of a resident of Trușeni.

According to the CNA, the ex-policeman is detained for 72 hours and was placed in the CNA isolator.

A few days ago, the file regarding the mayor of Trușeni, the chief architect, but also the former head of the Truşeni Municipal Enterprise was sent to court. They are accused of committing acts of corruption, after multiple cases of claiming financial means from economic agents and individuals have been identified in exchange for the issuance of town planning certificates. The sums claimed by the group of officials ranged from EUR 500 to EUR 1000.

At the same time, during the criminal investigation actions, the attempted abusive takeover of some properties, which belonged to a 73-year-old resident of Truşeni commune, was documented.
