Christmas Fair organized by Moldovan government to be inaugurated on 24 December

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan government will organize a Christmas Fair this year. It will be placed on the Square of the National Palace from the capital and will be inaugurated on 24 December. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita made statements to this effect at a news conference after the cabinet meeting.
„The Christmas Fair from this year will be placed, so as not to limit the traffic on any street. We chose a space, so that the traffic is not jeopardized in the centre of the capital, which is burdened, especially during the holidays,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said. The PM noted that it would be a fair, during which the native goods and the enterprises from Moldova would have priority.
Also, Natalia Gavrilita said the event would be organized in all regions of Moldova, placed in ten cities, with the cultural and artistic component as well.
„At the Christmas Fair from this year, we will focus especially on the disadvantaged social categories, on the promotion of popular craftsmen, giving possibility of promotion to the native handicraft and local entrepreneurship,’’ the prime minister said.
The first European-style Christmas Fair, organized by the Moldovan government, was inaugurated in Chisinau in December 2017.
