Ombudswoman requested cancellation of resignation

Chisinau, 9 Dec. / MOLDPRES /-Ombudswoman Natalia Molosag announced today that she had requested the cancellation of the resignation request previously submitted to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

The decision to request the cancellation of the resignation request was taken following the findings of the general control over the patrimony of the People's Advocate's Office, carried out within the institution on 11 October -8 December 2021 by an inventory commission.

"Another reason that determined the People's Advocate to take the decision to request the cancellation of the resignation request is the intention not to jeopardize the activity of the Office of the People's Advocate and to ensure the continuity of the institution's activity, as well as the desire to ensure correct, on time of the ongoing processes in the activity of the PLO, especially during the end period of the management year ”, a communiqué issued by the institution reads.

In early December, Molosag said she had submitted resignation to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
