Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - The official visit to Bucharest by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita continued at the Palace of Parliament, where she had meetings with President of the Senate Florin-Vasile Citu and President of the Chamber of Deputies Marcel Ciolacu.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, during the discussions, the sides confirmed the common commitment to further develop the Moldovan-Romanian bilateral relations in the key sectors. Natalia Gavrilita said that Moldova relied on Romania’s assistance to implement the government’s ambitious agenda, as well as the carrying out of the reforms, the goal of which is to turn Moldova into a European state, in which the law and the rule of law state are the principal things.
Prime Minister Gavrilita thanked the Romanian leadership for the expertise given in the process of carrying out the key reforms, provided for in the Moldova-Romania Association Agreement. ‘’We want to learn from the experience of the Romanian institutions as to the implementation of the reforms necessary for the European integration – and therefore, we are set to boost the sectoral cooperation, the exchange of good practices and know-how,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said. In this respect, the sides reiterated the need to re-launch the bilateral dialogue between the two parliaments.
Another subject on the agenda of the discussions regarded the adjusting of the tariffs for mobile telephony. ‘’Our wish is to achieve as soon as possible the goal for the roaming to have the same tariffs as the home network,’’ the Moldovan PM added.
