USM won 15 medals, AGEPI Grand Prize at INFOINVENT exhibition

Chisinau, Dec. 10 / MOLDPRES /- Five gold medals, four silver, six bronze and the Grand Prize of the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) in the category Best Invention were obtained by the State University of Moldova (USM) at the International Specialized Exhibition INFOINVENT 2021 recently held online.
More than four hundred works have been submitted to this year's edition of the INFOINVENT Exhibition by researchers and inventors from Australia, China, Korea, Croatia, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Vietnam and other countries.
The State University of Moldova participated in this year's edition of INFOINVENT ”with papers submitted to the following departments: Inventions and plant varieties; Industrial design; Research and innovation projects; Innovative Products and Services and Creative Industries.
The AGEPI Grand Prize, in the category Best Invention was awarded to the USM for a new inhibitor of the proliferation of human rhabdomyosarcoma cells of the RD line. The authors of the project are Aurelian Gulea, Vasilii Graur, Irina Usataia, Olga Garbuz, Victor Țapcov and Ion Toderaş. The other award-winning papers of researchers from the State University of Moldova were in the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, political science and human rights.
It took place this November, online. The event is organized every two years by the State Agency for Intellectual Property in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, the National Agency for Research and Development and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research and aims to support and promote the activity research and innovation, attracting investments in the field of innovation and technology transfer, developing technical-scientific cooperation both nationally and internationally.
