ANRE clarified prices for gas supply

Chisinau, Dec. 10 / MOLDPRES /- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) today issued some clarifications on approval of prices for gas supply by Moldovagaz company in the context of the public service obligation.

ANRE explained that it is in the process of examining all the relevant information on the given subject, in strict accordance with the Methodology for calculating, approving and applying the regulated prices for the supply of natural gas. In order to correctly evaluate the data, ANRE requested Moldovagaz to submit additional information and calculations on the lines of expenditure and the evolution of the purchase price of natural gas for 2022, for verification.

"After observing all the transparency procedures in the decision-making process and finalizing the public consultations, we will announce in legal terms the date of the public meeting for the examination and adoption of the corresponding decisions", ANRE said.

At the same time, the Agency shall examine the calculations submitted by licensees for the purpose of re-examining the tariffs for thermal energy supplied to consumers by licensees for the production, distribution and supply of thermal energy, prices for electricity produced by district heating plants and prices for the electricity supplied by the central electricity supplier Energocom approved on 20 November 2021.

The decisions are to be adopted by the ANRE Board of Directors following the instructions of the Commission for Emergencies of Moldova, which obliged the Agency to adopt provisional prices and tariffs with legal derogations from the existing procedure, provided they are subsequently re-examined with the regulations in force.
