Danube Transnational Program announced financing of projects in Moldova, Ukraine

Chisinau, Dec. 10 / MOLDPRES /- Danube Transnational Program 2014-2020 announced the launch of an additional call for project proposals, focusing on improving institutional capacity to address society major challenges. The call will be officially launched in January 2022, and project proposals will be submitted via the program's electronic system.
In the new programming period, the Monitoring Committee decided to support the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in their efforts to strengthen the capacity to develop and implement transnational projects, enabling them to use the relevant funds available in the Danube Region for 2021-2027.
“The projects are expected to be developed around one of the following main activities: raising awareness of transnational cooperation and its benefits in ENI countries; establishing the political dialogue in thematic areas that represent a major challenge for the region, as defined in the Transnational Danube Program 2021-2027; supporting the capacity of the national / regional / local public authorities in Ukraine and Moldova ”, reads a communiqué of the Program.
The budget for Moldova is 2.33 million euros and 2.48 million - for Ukraine. "There is no maximum budget to be claimed by partners in the Republic of Moldova or Ukraine, but the amount must be justified by the proposed activities," according to the quoted source.
More details on the organization of online information seminars and consultations with potential applicants will be announced in January 2022, following the official launch of the call.
