Artificial firs must be quality, safe - experts warn

Chisinau, Dec. 10 / MOLDPRES /- Before the main holidays of the year, specialists of the Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance warn about recommendations for the purchase of artificial Christmas trees. First of all, consumers are warned to avoid products of questionable quality.

According to experts, buyers need to make sure that the base of the tree is straight and has enough stability to support the weight of the artificial tree.

At the same time, it is welcome to buy fire-resistant or non-burning artificial fir trees. Also, some rules must be followed when purchasing toys, avoiding the purchase of those made of brittle material or glass, in order to prevent possible incidents.

For those who prefer natural Christmas trees for the holidays, the nurseries of the Moldsilva Agency plan to launch several types of conifers on the market this year. Traditionally, pruning will begin in the second half of December.
