Moldovan president says leadership willing to boost commercial exchanges, enhance Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, on a working visit to Chisinau.
The presidential press service has reported that the officials discussed the bilateral agenda between the two countries and also pointed out the future priorities. ‘’We want to boost the commercial exchanges and to enhance the cooperation in such sectors as health, transport infrastructure, energy connectivity,’’ the head of state said at the meeting.
President Maia Sandu thanked Ingrida Šimonytė, on behalf of the Moldovan citizens, for the solidarity constantly proved by Lithuania for Moldova. ‘’I felt this support at the European institutions, through the promotion of our interests in the context of the Eastern Partnership, as well as in the last two years of fight with the pandemic. This is a friendship we care about and which we are resolute to develop in continuation,’’ Maia Sandu said.
