Specialists of tax office, financial inspection to help investigate criminal case at CFM

Chisinau, Dec. 13 / MOLDPRES /- PCCOCS prosecutors announced they will continue investigations into the embezzlement of state assets by a criminal group organized through abuse of office at the Moldovan Railway / CFM /. Specialists from the Financial Inspection and the State Tax Service will also come to the aid of prosecutors.

According to PCCOCS data, a meeting was held recently within the Prime Minister's Control Corps to strengthen the forces of all actors involved, including at the Government level. As a result, it was ordered to assist in the investigation of the case by specialists from certain institutions competent in the financial field, including the Financial Inspection and the State Tax Service.

Preliminary estimates show that the damage caused to the enterprise amounts to 250 million lei / about 12 million 500 thousand euros /.

PCCOCS prosecutors are investigating the period of the company's activity between 2015-2019, and in the criminal case some extras have already been assigned the status of accused.
