Falesti policeman to be investigated for passive corruption

Chisinau, Dec. 14 / MOLDPRES /- Fălești District Prosecutor's Office has completed the criminal investigation and sent to court the criminal case on accusing a police officer, employee of Fălești Police Inspectorate, who is accused of passive corruption and forgery in public documents.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, he is accused that last May he illegally claimed and received money from a resident of Falesti district in order not to draw up a report on the contravention and falsified several documents in the contravention procedure.

If found guilty, the law enforcement officer risks a penalty of up to 100 thousand lei with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for a term of up to 5 years.
