Moldovan speaker has online discussion with Chinese counterpart

Chisinau, Dec. 14 / MOLDPRES /- Speaker Igor Grosu had a video conference this morning with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of People's Representatives from All over China Li Zhanshu.

The meeting was attended by Vladimir Bolea, chairman of the Friendship Group with the People's Republic of China, deputies Dumitru Alaiba and Ion Groza.

Igor Grosu and Li Zhanshu discussed the collaborative relations between our states and the opportunities to boost them.

Mutual interest in capitalizing on cooperation at the parliamentary level, namely at the level of parliamentary committees and friendship groups, was also expressed. "We believe that through these contacts we could intensify cooperation in several areas such as trade and investment, infrastructure, education and culture, energy and environment, information technology and tourism etc."

Igor Grosu thanked his Chinese counterpart for the important assistance provided to our country over the years, including for the prompt support provided to the Republic of Moldova in its efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
