Moldovan cabinet approves programme of statistics works for 2022

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The official statistics information will be collected based on a new programme, approved by the cabinet today. The document’s goal is to provide the central and local public authorities, mass media, academic institutions, international organizations, as well as other users with relevant statistics data in the economic, social, demographic and environmental sectors, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Thus, the statistics researchers will be carried out in industry and energy sector, agriculture, foreign and domestic trade, entrepreneurship, justice and labour market. Also, decision-makers will elaborate the statistics of prices, demography and living standards of the residents.

The programme approved comprises the list of statistics researchers, due to be carried out by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS) during 2022. At the same time, the terms of fulfilling the tasks, as well as the authorities which will provide BNS with the information needed for the elaboration and dissemination of official statistics are envisaged too.

As a result, the statistics information will be used for the working out policies of economic and social development, enhancing the degree of covering of the requirements of the statistics data users nationally, as well as for informing external users about Moldova.
