Year 2022 declared Year of gratitude to participants in actions for defence of Moldova's integrity, independence

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today ruled that 2022 should declared year of gratitude to the war veterans who participated in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence.
The decision is as a token of gratitude for the merits of the war veterans, who fought for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence.
”As a token of gratitude for the patriotism of the veterans, who sacrificed their lives and health for freedom, democracy and edification of the rule of law state Republic of Moldova, this decision will contribute to the carrying out of measures meant to improve the veterans’ social and law protection,’’ MP Boris Marcoci said in the parliament’s plenum.
According to the lawmakers’ decision, a national action plan will be approved on the next period, which will include social and cultural, educational activities, among which also meetings of war veterans with pupils from education institutions.
In 2022, Moldova will mark the 30th anniversary of the unleashing of the armed conflict for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence. At that time, over 300 people died on battlefield and about 370 were injured or remained with sequelae.
