Chisinau city hall bought 158 buses this year

Chisinau, 27 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Urban Bus Park in the capital bought 158 buses this year worth 315 million lei. Thus, 265 million lei have been invested for the batch of 100 new ISUZU buses and 50 million for 58 buses- MAN, VOLVO and VDL.

The Urban Bus Park exhibited yesterday the buses purchased this year by the Chisinau City Hall to replace the old means of transport with modern units. There are 158 passenger transport units, of which one hundred ISUZU buses are new. The warranty period for ISUZU cars is 6.5 years, during which time the manufacturer will also ensure their maintenance.

The City Council has allocated another 190 million lei in the 2022 budget for the purchase and assembly of buses and trolleybuses.

Until the procurement of lots of new means of transport, at the beginning of 2021 the Urban Bus Park had on its balance 125 transport units, of which only 53 corresponded to the satisfactory conditions of passenger transport.
