Chisinau-based Maria Biesu Opera and Ballet Theatre to present New Year Gala

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The traditional New Year Gala will take place at the Maria Biesu Opera and Ballet Theatre on 29 and 30 December.

According to the organizers, the atmosphere of holidays will be completed by fragments from operas, operettas, arias, popular duos from the world classical, as well as contemporary repertoire, with the participation of national stars, conductor – People’s Artist Nicolae Dohotaru.

Music by composers Johann Strauss, Georges Bizet, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi, Gioacchino Rossini, Gheorghe Mustea and other composers will be included in the programme.

A concert titled, Turn On the Lights, will be held at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace on 28 December on 18:00.

The shows will take place in accordance with the sanitary requirements provided by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
