As many as 237 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,889 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 237 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 374,763 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), five out of all infection cases are among medical employees (2 physicians, 1 medical assistant and 2 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 987 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom163 are in extremely serious condition and 22 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,132 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,747 are under supervision at home.

Another 341 people have been treated. As many as 360,772 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 12 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,625 people have died of coronavirus in all.
