As many as 302 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,537 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 302 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Two out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 375,065 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 15 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (4 physicians, 3 medical assistant and 8 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 893 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom146 are in extremely serious condition and 24 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,932 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,325 are under supervision at home.

Another 553 people have been treated. As many as 361,325 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 20 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,645 people have died of coronavirus in all.
