Chisinau city hall awarded 40 teachers over 75 years old

Chisinau, Dec. 29 / MOLDPRES /- 40 teachers over 75 years old working in the municipal educational institutions in Chisinau after retirement will receive gifts on winter holidays.

The initiative to award senior teachers with gifts specific to the winter holidays belongs to Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici, who said that teachers who continue to work after retirement age are an invaluable treasure. "The work experience gained by teachers who continue to work after retirement age is an invaluable treasure. These teachers show great selflessness in their work to educate the younger generation," Cutasevici said.

Acting head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports Andrei Pavaloi said that 1,541 pensioners work in municipal educational institutions and responsibility is their main business card.

Gifts will be distributed through the Education Sector Directorates.

According to statistics, a number of 11,207 teachers work in municipal educational institutions in Chisinau.
