Moldova's Public Property Agency to audit debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government today ruled to carry out an independent audit of the debt of the Moldovagaz stock company to the Gazprom giant and the Factoring-Finance company for the gas delivered to consumers from the right bank of Dniester.   

The cabinet delegated to the Public Property Agency (APP) the task to purchase the service of independent audit, for auditing the debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom. APP will set up a working group, made up of representatives of the Infrastructure and Regional Development, Justice and Finance Ministries, for the organization of the procedure of procurement.      

Moldovagaz has a historical debt to Gazprom for the gas supplied to consumers from Moldova. The government, in its capacity of holder of 35.33 per cent of all shares of Moldovagaz, deems as necessary the carrying out of an audit, in order to verify the meeting of the debt to the foreign providers with the real situation.     

The project’s implementation will be ensured from the means provided for in the government’s reserve fund.
