As many as 375 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,704 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 375 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Nine out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 376,155 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 11 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 5 medical assistants and 3 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 721 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 118 are in extremely serious condition and 21 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,914 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,067 are under supervision at home.

Another 373 people have been treated. As many as 362,429 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 6 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,275 people have died of coronavirus in all.
