As many as 168 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 2 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,853 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 168 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 376,602 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 2 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1 physician, 1 auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 450 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 60 are in extremely serious condition and 8 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,889 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,266 are under supervision at home.

Another 81 people have been treated. As many as 362,809 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 6 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,290 people have died of coronavirus in all.
