As many as 242 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,565 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 242 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Twelve out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 376,844 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 18 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (2 physicians, 11 medical assistants, 5 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 766 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 106 are in extremely serious condition and 17 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,922 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,258 are under supervision at home.

Another 59 people have been treated. As many as 362,868 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,306 people have died of coronavirus in all.
