Moldovan president urgently summons Supreme Security Council

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today summoned urgently the Supreme Security Council (CSS). At the meeting, CSS brought for discussion the situation in the country’s energy sector, emerged following a significant increase in the acquisition prices for natural gas on the European market on the last period.
The CSS members today heard a report on the level of payments made so far for the consumption of natural gas, the evolution for 2022 of the prices for natural gas imported, perspectives for January and solutions to overcome a potential crisis.
The Council also recommended that the government undertakes all measures needed to ensure the uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers.
