As many as 652 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 11,462 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 652 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thirty five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 377,496 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 24 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 9 medical assistants, 12 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 752 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 112 are in extremely serious condition and 18 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,890 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,850 are under supervision at home.

Another 257 people have been treated. As many as 363,125 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 13 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,319 people have died of coronavirus in all.
