As many as 706 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 10,992 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 706 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Forty three out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 378,202 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 43 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 22 medical assistants, 16 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 745 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 108 are in extremely serious condition and 17 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,029 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,160 are under supervision at home.

Another 296 people have been treated. As many as 363,421 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another nine deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,328 people have died of coronavirus in all.
