As many as 702 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,735 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 702 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Forty five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 378,904 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 27 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 18 medical assistants, 6 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 783 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 127 are in extremely serious condition and 12 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,163 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,985 are under supervision at home.

Another 346 people have been treated. As many as 363,767 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 12 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,340 people have died of coronavirus in all.
