All underground passages in Chisinau to be repaired next two years

Chisinau, January 11 / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau city hall today put into operation the three underground passages in the Telecentru district.

Mayor Ion Ceban, who inspected the rehabilitation of the three passages, had objections regarding the accumulation of groundwater. "In one of the passages there is an accumulation of water, it is not known if it is of underground or surface origin, I request the elimination of these accumulations", said Ceban.

The mayor received assurances that in three weeks, the water accumulations will be eliminated.

The official said that by the end of his term, all underground passages in Chisinau would be repaired. "There are currently eight underground crossings that are in a deplorable state. This year, the municipality will repair four or five, the rest in 2023. I assure you that by the end of the term, all the underground passages in the city will be repaired ", the quoted source underlined.

According to the tender for the rehabilitation of the three undergrounds in the Telecentru neighborhood, the cost of the works amounted to 4.5 million lei.
