Prices increase by about 14 per cent in Moldova during one year

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - The prices have increased by about 14 per cent in the last 12 months.
The National Statistics Bureau (BNS) informed that the average consumption prices in December 2021 had grown by 13.94 per cent against the same month of 2020, including by 17.46 per cent for food products, by 12.06 per cent for non-food products and by 11.59 per cent for services provided to residents.
Statisticians found out an increase in the average consumption prices by 1.66 per cent in last December against November 2021; at the same time, the prices grew by as little as 0.32 per cent in December 2020 against November of the same year.
According to BNS, the increase in the average consumption prices was triggered by an increase in the prices for food products by 2.22 per cent, for non-food products - by 1.07 per cent and for the services provided to residents – by 1.72 per cent.
